The Chang Lab at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in New Jersey USA is seeking to recruit a motivated postdoctoral fellow. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research in neuron-immune axis of host-pathogen interactions. The fellow is required to have technical and theoretical knowledge related to genetics, molecular biology and cell biology. Hands-on experience with common techniques in molecular biology and fluorescence microscopy is preferred.
SUGGESTED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE for postdoctoral fellow: · Ph.D. degree with major/concentration in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, neurobiology or related field of study.
· Prior research experience in the areas of model organism system, genetics, neurobiology, and/or host-pathogen interactions. · Previous experience in C. elegans genetics and/or neurobiology will be given first consideration.
ABOUT ROWAN UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE: Rowan University SOM was a part of New Jersey UMDNJ medical school system until the New Jersey Medical and Health Sciences Education Restructuring Act went into effect in 2013. The School of Osteopathic Medicine merged with Rowan University, whereas the northern UMDNJ campuses merged with Rutgers University. The school is located 12 miles outside of Philadelphia. The surrounding area is a part of metro Philadelphia and offers low-cost housing, excellent school district, and amenities in addition to the state-of-art research environment on campus.
